Boro Thunlai San Celebration

The Delhi Boro Thunlai Afad (DNBTA) celebrated Bodo Literary Day (the Foundation day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha ) on 16th November 2022 as its first inaugural event as an association, at Bodoland Bhawan, Dwarka Sector 18/ A in the presence of highly enthusiastic crowd of Bodo members residing in the Delhi and national capital region. On this occasion the first issue of Rajthaoni Lasi , an e magazine of Delhi Boro Thunlai Afad was released by the chief Guest Capt. Hemanta kr Brahma. The day long program included poem recitations, melodious songs sung by DBTA members and special guest Mr. Brajendra Basumatary, and cultural programs

Career Counselling and Interactive Seminar

A one Day Interactive Discussion on “Career Opportunities for Boro Students”, with Prof. Kishore Wary, University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, as the Chief Guest and key resource person, was organised by Delhi NCR Boro Thunlai Afad in association with Boro Diaspora Forum on 26th February 2023 at Bodoland Bhawan, Dwarka, New Delhi. This session provided an opportunity to the young Boro students and aspiring early career fellows to gain insights for future career advancement. It was attended by eminent scholars, professionals and a few other academicians working in the educational sector in Delhi NCR region who gave their valuable suggestions and advice.

Bwisagu Celebration

The Delhi NCR Boro Thunlai Afad organised Bwisagu Celebration on the 16th April 2023, with much fervour and enthusiasm at the Police Training Centre, Malviya Nagar. This was an occasion to also showcase the rich cultural tradition of the Boro people in the midst of invited VIP guests and other dignitaries who also addressed the gathering of community members coming from different parts of Delhi NCR. The event began with an enthusiastic performance of singing by well known Boro singers followed by felicitation of the guests, cultural shows and concluded with a sumptuous lunch.

DNBTA organised an interactive seminar in collaboration with Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha of Assam on NEP2020

The Delhi NCR Boro Thunlai Afad organised an interactive one day symposium with Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha of Assam (ITSSA) on the topic - Indigenous Tribal Languages of Assam: Initiatives and Way Forward to Implement as Medium of Instruction in Schools in line with the National Education Policy 2020, which aimed to highlight the hopes and aspirations in store for indigenous languages of Assam such as Bodo, Karbi, Rabha, Dimasa, Mishing, Garo, Tiwa, Deori, in discussion with the representatives of the above languages in the premise of Bodoland Bhawan, in the light of the new National Educational Policy 2020. It was an opportunity to discuss the plight of tribal languages in the state of Assam and explore ways to preserve indigenous cultures and cultural identities.
